Overnight Walk- Blue Mountains NP Kanangra-100 Man Cave

Sat 20th Sep 2025

Members Only

Kanangra Car Park- Crafts Walls, Mt High and Mighty, Mt Stormbreaker, Mt Cloudmaker, 100 Man Cave. Return the same way. This classic walk has sublime vistas from the tops. Mostly on track but with several 200m and 300m ascents and descents. Off track and some thick scrub below Cloudmaker. Suitable for fit and experienced walkers only. I am unlikely to accept any walkers who have not walked with me before. Carry water for 7 hours. Party limit 8. We will meet up at Kanangra Walls car park for a 9 am start. A good idea to camp the night before at Boyd Crossing car campsite or book a motel in Oberon.

A walk with a duration ranging from part-day to multi-day. Multi-day walks will require some form of accommodation or camping. Contact walk leader (owner) for full details.

At our club we use a grading system common to many bushwalking clubs in NSW to indicate the expected level of difficulty of a walk. See: https://www.southcoastbushwalkers.org.au/what-we-do/walk-grading

Grading information can assist you to decide if the walk is suitable for your level of fitness and experience. However, grading is subjective and must only be taken as a guide, so always ask the walk leader for advice if you are unsure about whether the walk is suitable for you.

The walk leader has full discretion in determining if members or introductory members are accepted for any walk.

See the SCBW website , "What to bring" page under "Member Information" for guidelines on what you'll need to bring. https://www.southcoastbushwalkers.org.au/member-information/what-to-bring

The Club’s ethos seeks to undertake more challenging and remote walking with a preference for Grade 4-6 walks but we also include some "Recreational Walks" (RW) which cover Grades 1-3.
