Heathcote National Park: early bushwalker camp sites

A hike from Waterfall to Heathcote visiting some of the historic camp sites used by early bushwalkers in the Heathcote National Park. Whilst mainly on track, this walk will require creek crossings and some rock scrambling, with an off-track section or two.
This is a rambling walk between Waterfall and Heathcote that will require a car shuffle or return to Waterfall by train, depending on whether trains are running. There will be an option to shorten the walk if heavy rains fall in the lead up to the 5th..
A walk with a duration ranging from part-day to multi-day. Multi-day walks will require some form of accommodation or camping. Contact walk leader (owner) for full details.

Grading information can assist you to decide if the walk is suitable for your level of fitness and experience. However, grading is subjective and must only be taken as a guide, so always ask the walk leader for advice if you are unsure about whether the walk is suitable for you.
The walk leader has full discretion in determining if members or introductory members are accepted for any walk.

The Club’s ethos seeks to undertake more challenging and remote walking with a preference for Grade 4-6 walks but we also include some "Recreational Walks" (RW) which cover Grades 1-3.
